A renown business man in Rivers State, Mr. Chinonye Okocha has expressed optimism that the incumbent Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and Peoples Democratic Party’s gubernatorial candidate for this year’s general election, Hon. Chibuike Amaechi will deliver the dividends of democracy to Rivers people.
Mr. Okoha, who is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Goldstream Ltd stated this while speaking with newsmen at Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport, Ngor – Okpala, Imo State on arrival from Abuja. He noted that Hon. Amaechi’s excellent management of the legislature for two consecutive terms without rancour and bitterness had demonstrated that he is a natural leader of men.
The company boss said that the speaker’s commitment to duty, sacrifical humility and loyalty had endeared him to the Rivers people and pointed out that Amaechi had a great future in Nigerian politics.
He remarked that the election of the speaker as the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP was an indication that the party would win landslide in Rivers State.
He described Amaechi as a tested hand and noted that he would not disappoint the electorate when assumed duty.
The chief executive also lauded Dr. Peter Odili, the Governor of Rivers State and the entire PDP for giving the Ikwerre man a sense of belonging.
Mr. Okoha praised God for using the present PDP leadership to bring the Ihuruoha people close to their dream of ruling the state, which they had given their all.
The Egbeda-born business executive urged all to join hands to ensure that the PDP won the election in the state, and added that he was sure that Amaechi would continue the good works started by Governor Odili.
He urged all gubernatorial aspirants who contested with Amaechi to support him in true spirit of sportsmanship so that their darling party would win again in the state.
Mr. Okoha also charged the Ihuruoha nation to give the RSHA speaker the need support in order to actualize the Ikwerre men’s dream.
