AMAECHI WILL WIN RIVERS GUBER ELECTIONS, SAYS RIVERS IN DIASPORA

Amaechi’ll win Rivers guber elections, says Rivers in Diaspora

Rivers State indigenes in Diaspora have predicted landslide victory for Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, and have vowed to resist any move aimed at frustrating the governorship dream of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon Chibuike Amaechi, in the forthcoming elections.

The group, in a statement sent from their London base and circulated in Port Harcourt, assured the governorship aspirant of solid support, even as they asserted that the PDP strongman will win the gubernatorial election by a landslide.

Dr Amakiri Princewill, the leader of the group, who signed the statement, called on the people to throw their weight behind the Ubima-born politician, saying that his tenure would usher in peace and promote development in the state.

Dr Princewill noted with satisfaction that by Amaechi\'s leadership style, he made the Conference of Speakers and State Assemblies the most cohesive and vibrant body in the federation, expressing the hope that if given the mandate he would extend his administrative and intellectual sagacity to the state administration.

He disclosed that Rivers indigenes in America, UK, Canada and Italy would mobilize citizens of the state residing overseas to ensure that Amaechi wins the guber election, and keep the legacies of the Odili administration alive.

“We are ready to mobilize support from our base abroad, that will assist in broadening the target of the next in-coming government,” Dr Princewill said in the statement, adding, “let us make Amaechi another success like Dr Peter Odili.”
