RIVERS WEST YOUTHS HAIL AMAECHI'S ENDORSEMENT

Rivers West youths hail Amaechi’s endorsement

The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly (RSHA) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), gubernatorial flagbearer, Hon Rotimi Amaechi has been described as a bundle of hope that would yield sustainable development and long term benefit to the people if elected the state governor.

This assertion was made in a communiqué issued recently at the end of the 18th general congress of the Youths of the Rivers West organisation held in Buguma City, Asari-Toru Local Government area of the state.

The document endorsed by Ibe ThankGod Scott, (president), In-liaa Cotterell (general secretary) and Godknows Braide (publicity secretary), and Amaechi is the most suitable candidate in the race for the Brick House, Port Harcourt.

Explaining further why Amaechi would make a good leader, the communiqué said Amaechi had been tried and tested under the tutelage of the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Peter Odili.

It asserted that the governorship aspirant had acquired the technical-know-how and as well as the experience about the political situation of the state during his tenures as speaker in the state legislature.

Against this backdrop, the Rivers West Youth expressed optimism that Amaechi would exhibit high level of integrity, transparency and accountability towards achieving sustainable economic emancipation of the oil rich state of the federation.

But the group urged all Rivers people to participate in the voters registration exercise, a development that would aid in the election of Amaechi to actualise his political dream.

Meanwhile, the Rivers West Youths have expressed satisfaction with the leadership of the PDP in the state, the Rivers State government and the PDP South-South geopolitical zone amongst other stakeholders who contributed to make Rivers State the base of a good political landing in the federation.
