The Rivers State House of Assembly has unanimously passed the 2007 appropriation bill, just as the house reaffirmed its loyalty to the state government.

The House increased the 2007 budget from N179.4 billion to N183 billion to accommodate the 15 per cent increase in wages approved by the federal government.

The speaker Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, presided as the legislature afterward adjourned to March 30, 2007.

Meanwhile, Hon Lloyd who was at the centre of last Mondays rowdy session in the state House of Assembly apologized to the state and averred that he was misinterpreted in media reports on the incident.
